You will be working directly on an agile team to help ensure each release of i-Ready’s products achieves the level of quality expected of our products and services. You will be leveraging your insights and experiences to provide guidance to your team members.Essential duties/responsibilities:1. Review each feature’s acceptance criteria, business requirements, and UI/UX designs. Askquestions on these requirements to find missing aspects of the future product and recommendyour testing approach based on that set of requirements.2. Review the developer’s implementation designs for each feature and recommend suggestions toensure the features testability.3. Act as a primary contributor to all test development within your team. Author high value testplans and cases that go beyond the acceptance criteria, business requirements, and UI/UXdesigns. Review and approve other team members’ test plans and test cases to ensure they lineup with the requirements and Development’s implementation approach. Review and approveother team members automated test cases via PR reviews.4. Review and gain approval from the rest of the agile team the specific test cases that are to beautomated, and which ones will need to be manually tested.5. Execute all manual and automation testing for that feature area and carefully document defectsto prevent churn with Development.6. Author automated test cases within the proper test frameworks.7. Provide a test coverage assessment (manual and automated) for your team's different projectareas.8. Provide mentorship and oversight to less experienced team members as they perform their ownjob responsibilities.9. Fully understand your teams’ agile commitments and release timeline to accurately assessrelease readiness and vocalize any risks to the delivery schedule. As needed, represent your QAteam and its charter in cross-team planning events and roadmap discussions.10. Proactively monitor and communicate critical incident reports in production handed down byour Support Escalations team and work with Product Management, Development and QAManagement to see the solution through to completion.Required Job Skills and Abilities:1. Knowledge of multiple testing techniques, methodologies, and test framework design at anadvanced level of competency and a keen sense of when to apply different techniques,methodologies, and designs and in which types of scenarios.2. Must have strong collaboration skills with cross-functional peers and fellow QA team members.3. Possesses a strong ability to comprehend and explain complex systems and ability to understand how changes in one area can affect other parts of the system.4. A solid understanding of how to debug or troubleshoot any software issue leveraging a depth of knowledge working with HTTP, HTML, CSS, SQL, command line interfaces, and web services is expected.5. Can articulate a software issue including the situations it does and does not occur in. 6. Can develop in more than one coding language to an Intermediate level of competency.7. Possesses the ability to develop SQL scripts to an Intermediate level of competency.8. Ability to teach other team members so they learn what it takes to grow into a Senior as well.9. Can find creative and elusive defects throughout the system under test. 10. Has a novice to intermediate knowledge of how to test for WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) compliance.
