Job Description

Location: North Goa(Candidate from Goa preferred with knowledge of local laws)As a Legal Officer, the Employee is required to perform the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner.• Independently conduct due diligence and title document scrutiny and represent the company for discussions on its legal matters with Land owners / Vendors / Joint venture partners. • Follow up with the Police and other government departments for effective prevention and resolution of issues. • Preparation / Drafting of various deeds, documents or undertakings with respect to property purchase, sale, bank loan/mortgage, rentals/leases and all contracts. • Coordinating with our external legal consultants/advocates on various matters related to litigation, legal opinions and representations. • Work closely with panel advocates in the preparation of Plaints, Written Statements, Memos, Interlocutory applications, Writ petitions and drafting various types of criminal petitions etc. • Managing the entire registration process on behalf of the company by representing at SRO's and other government offices. • Resolving clients' legal queries regarding property documents as well as the purchase, sale, and rental agreements.• You will have to frequently keep in touch with the company's external Advocates/Lawyers to keep a track on case status and keep records of various documents/petitions filed by them on behalf of the company. • You should take responsibility for ensuring effective and efficient management of the company's legal and contractual risks. • You must be familiar with the court processes, rules and court nomenclature with respect to litigations so as to follow up and keep track with the company's external legal consultants/advocates and update the management on progress, status updates and providing overall guidance.Other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned to the employee.
