The duality of the work requires the incumbent to apply thorough expertise in the German social security system (GSSS) and DOS centric payroll knowledge.Payrolling for LE Staff in Mission Germany is inseparably interlinked with local social security matters: employees receive their compensation based on bi-weekly Time and Attendance (T&A) and payroll reporting, and as that compensation is subject to local social security contributions, the incumbent must have a keen knowledge of the GSSS to ensure smooth handling of the payroll work and to guarantee successful customer engagement.The incumbent works in the Embassy''s HR Office and is a member of the Local Staff Unit which covers the HR work encompassing the Employee Life Cycle; that is, the incumbent must be able to work at an expert level and highly independently in the team.All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a non-sensitive security clearance.
