The positionIf you are excited about growing with Hive and love operations, this might be the right position for you!As Packaging Procurement Associate, you will be working in the Packaging Operations Team based in our centrally located Berlin office. As part of this role, you will:Manage and maintain accurate inventory and records using the Hive App and data analysis tools.Implement best practices for inventory control, including cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.Meet customer expectations for quality of packaging, packing, and value-added services as outlined by the customer.Handle customer queries and problem solve meeting operational needs and customer satisfaction.Analyze inventory turnover rates and develop strategies to reduce extra stock while meeting customer demand.Implement and manage a visibility board that includes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to support continuous improvement.Onboard new suppliers.Problem solve, work independently, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Gain and maintain an understanding of manufacturing capabilities, customers, products, sales programs, competitors, and service needs.Identify preferred suppliers that can meet the technical needs of the request.Proactively offer relevant products to sales and operations.Help develop and grow sales and margin by developing an effective working relationship with the Growth team.Create and update purchase orders.Prepare various reports as required.Perform other duties as required.Document processes and share knowledge with stakeholders.Your profileWe know - sometimes, you cant tick every box. We would still love to hear from you if you think youre a good fit!Enthusiasm to build an early-stage VC-backed company and reshape the logistics industry.Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive and hands-on mentality.Curiosity to dive deeper into e-commerce operations and understand customer pain points.At least 1 year of work experience in supply chain, buying, procurement, or e-commerce.Good communication skills to interact and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.Enjoy operational work, have a hands-on mentality, and thrive in a customer-focused business environment.Ability to structure work, be diligent, prioritize, and plan ahead in a growth environment.Passion for documenting processes and sharing ideas.Experience using a helpdesk tool (ideally Zendesk).Fluency in English and one of the following languages: German, Spanish, Italian, or French (C1).Our offeringBe part of the Hive.
