Job Description

Your missionWe are looking for an experienced Mechatronics Engineer (m/f/d) for our project business and a new great colleague for our team!CAD modelling and prototyping: You design the hardware and mechatronics parts of customer-specific intelligent industrial automation systems, print 3D models and craft prototypes to evaluate their functionalities.Mechatronics: You design the mechatronics of automation solutions by researching suitable sensors and actuators. Also, you purchase and assemble the necessary components for the factory acceptance tests.Industrial software implementation: You set up PLC configurations and components. Additionally, you implement control algorithms and communications interfaces to high-performance computing units to combine real-time control functionality with AI-based evaluation methods. You set up communication, configure settings, and program industrial robots to perform pick-and-place and handling tasks.Assembly and Onsite Deployment: You assemble the hardware and mechatronics components into a final system for factory acceptance tests and integrate those at the customer''s site for site acceptance tests.Your profileMechatronics Engineer: Combining mechanical and electrical engineering skills to design and create industrial automation solutions.Field Application Engineer: Onsite deployment of state-of-the-art intelligent automation solutions.Industrial Robotics Engineer (desirable): Programming industrial robots (e.g., ABB, KUKA, FANUC, UR, ) to integrate into intelligent automation solutions.You are able to design CAD models for automation solutions and their components and derive technical drawings for their manufacturing. You can distinguish between optimized design for mechanical manufacturing and 3D printing.You have gained experience in mechanical manufacturing, prototyping, and assembly.You are able to develop PLC solutions and have experience with common industrial communication interfaces and PLC environments, e.g., Beckhoff TwinCAT and Siemens TIA.You are familiar with electrical components, and you are able to design and implement mechatronic solutions.You live in or around Berlin or are eager to move to Berlin. You feel comfortable with onsite customer visits, deployment, and travel, mostly in Germany and the EU.You like project work and enjoy facing constantly changing challenges in a dynamic working environment.You speak the German language fluently.Bonus: You have gained experience with optomechanical components like industrial cameras, lenses, and different lighting setups. You have worked with and programmed industrial robots, preferably ABB, KUKA, FANUC, UR, or similar.
