This program operates through Army Community Services (ACS).QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelors Degree from an accredited school in social work, psychology, marriage, family, and child counseling, counseling or behavioral science, education, community health or public health.Victim Advocacy certification preferred.Experience: Minimum of two years experience providing comprehensive assistance and support to victims of domestic abuse, including crisis intervention, safety assessment and planning, assistance in securing medical treatment, and understanding advocacy services.Minimum of one year of experience in working with a military Family Support Center or civilian social service agency serving military Families.Working knowledge of family violence dynamics, safety planning, risk assessments, local community resources, and federal and state laws pertaining to domestic abuse.Demonstrate understanding, sensitivity, and empathy for victims, with effective communication skills.Ability to intervene in crisis situations with careful judgment and flexibility.Ability to conduct briefings to small and large groups.Ability to work cooperatively with military and civilian personnel on behalf of victims.Possess a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle license.Contractor shall be physically and mentally able to perform all contractual duties.Contractor employees shall be computer literate and possess basic computer skills.Working knowledge of military protocol preferred.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:DOMESTIC ABUSE ADVOCACY AND PREVENTION TASKSAct as part of the 24/7 on-call rotational response capability to provide VA services.Assist victims of domestic abuse with crisis intervention and safety planning.STATISTICAL DOCUMENTATIONRevise existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.Submit Monthly Status reports and maintain accurate data.Develop performance outcome measures and program evaluation tools.MATERIALS & RESOURCESMaintain an updated file of resources for victims of domestic abuse.Make annual recommendations on educational materials.Develop information packets for victims.TRAINING AND TRAINING SUPPORTConduct training/classes for Soldiers, Family Members, and the community.Customize training materials as necessary.CLIENT SURVEYS; DOMESTIC ABUSE PREVENTION AND TRAININGProvide a client survey to each victim and prepare a quarterly satisfaction analysis report.EMERGENCY PLACEMENT CARE (EPC) PLACEMENT TASKSProvide EPC placement for Families in crisis upon request.--French Consulting is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
