Our client, a distribution centre providing consumer goods to retail locations are actively seeking a Distribution Team Leader to join their growing team. If you are autonomous, passionate about your work and have good communication skills, as well as a sense of initiative and the will to succeed, this position is for you. Responsibilities: Ensure that the work environment is safe, clean and organized at all times; Responsible for receiving and labeling the stock and putting them in inventory Record and post the stock issued on the appropriate orders; Report overages, shortages, or damaged items to parts manager; Occasionally assist management in replenishment of sold inventory; Work with supervisor to ensure stock and equipment that is requisitioned by maintenance; Setup orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up; Work with others to compile records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment; Responsible for organizing racking and establishing/optimizing locations for new parts; Serve as a reference point and mentor to the team in all aspects of stockroom operations that are applicable to their respective job classifications; Identify ways to improve training methods and communicate them to supervisors; Assist management in replenishment of sold inventory: help to keep the inventory at an optimal level according to the customer''s demand, without overstocking or understocking; Execute any other tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by his/her supervisor. Qualifications: Post-secondary education and/or a combination of relevant experience and education; 2 to 3 years experience in a similar position or related work experience; 2 to 3 years of warehouse management experience; Work experience with SAP (an asset). Ability to work with a computer and fluency with Office Suite; Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills; Must have good sense of organization and attention to details; Must have a valid forklift license (counterbalance or reach) Employment Rewards: International organization with room for growth Straight Day shift Competitive pay Long term opportunity Application Process: All Qualified candidates will be contacted.
