The Night-Time Monitoring Operator is responsible for providing 24/7 protection to our subscribers by responding to alarms, video events, and inbound emergency calls during overnight hours. This role requires strong attention to detail, quick decision-making, and adherence to our companys Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the safety of people and property monitored by our central station. Operators serve as the first line of response for critical events, dispatching authorities when needed, verifying signals through live and recorded video, and offering reassurance to subscribers who depend on timely and accurate service even in the quiet hours of the night. Key Responsibilities: Alarm Event Handling Accurately process and respond to burglary, fire, medical, panic, and environmental alarms in accordance with SOPs Perform outbound verification calls and initiate dispatch procedures as required Log detailed, time-stamped notes in the monitoring platform Video Monitoring & Verification Review live and recorded footage for video-verified events Identify and escalate suspicious activity or confirmed break-ins Tag and archive video clips as needed for follow-up or client access Subscriber & Dealer Support Answer inbound calls from subscribers, dealers, or emergency contacts during off-hours Place accounts on test or hold status upon verified request Handle codeword verification and duress protocols as required Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate activity logs, dispatch summaries, and call records Escalate unusual trends or repeat signal issues to the on-call supervisor or dealer contact System Awareness & Communication Monitor system health, including communication paths and receiver integrity Report technical issues or anomalies using established internal procedures Maintain clear communication with day shift to ensure proper hand-off of critical information Position Details: Hours: Full-time, overnight shifts Pay: $20$23/hour Benefits: 50/50 health benefit co-pay, paid vacation, and paid statutory holidays Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong verbal communication and phone etiquette Ability to remain calm under pressure and act decisively High attention to detail and excellent note-taking skills Comfortable working independently during overnight hours Bilingualism is a must.
