Youll lead by example, earn the respect of members and staff alike, and play an essential role in elevating our hospitality experience.This role requires a hands-on leader who builds rapport with members, fosters a welcoming and professional environment, and inspires a team culture of excellence and accountability.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational ExcellenceImplement and improve policies, procedures, and objectives for the departmentMaintain high visibility and authentic member engagementEnsure compliance with all applicable regulations and club policiesOversee the successful delivery of Food & Beverage across all outlets: casual dining, fine dining, events, meetings, and the snack shackLeadership & Team DevelopmentRecruit, hire, train, and support a motivated team focused on delivering exceptional serviceFoster a respectful, safe, and inclusive workplace cultureEnsure your team has the tools, knowledge, and support needed to succeedCreate and maintain effective schedules aligned with budget expectationsLead regular departmental meetings and ensure clear, consistent communication among staff and with membersFinancial ManagementDevelop and manage the departments operating budgetMonitor performance and implement corrective actions when neededOversee ordering, inventory control, and cost managementMaintain accurate billing and member charge processesBuild strong relationships with suppliers for optimal pricing and qualityPlanning & InnovationCollaborate with the Executive Chef to drive the long-term success of the Food & Beverage department, focusing on operational excellence, innovation, and member satisfaction.Introduce creative programs and events to enhance member engagement, such as wine tastings, chefs tables, live performances, and other special events.Conduct regular inspections of all Food & Beverage facilities and equipment to ensure cleanliness, safety, and optimal function; proactively identify opportunities for improvementHelp implement our strategic plan as it relates to the department and provide thoughtful input into future capital planning, including maintenance and aspirational prioritiesDesired QualificationsMinimum five (5) years of progressive experience in Food & Beverage managementExperience in a private club setting is preferred; experience in upscale restaurants, resorts, hotels, or other golf facilities may also be consideredStrong leadership, coaching, and team-building skillsA genuine passion for hospitality, food, wine, and creating exceptional experiencesKnowledge or interest in golf is an assetCandidates must be flexible and available to work hospitality hours based on business needs. This includes morning and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays, depending on scheduled events and functionsDiploma or degree in Business Administration or HospitalityWine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) certifications are an assetPro Serve certification requiredAdditional RequirementsMust be legally entitled to work in Canada.
