*Location is somewhat open, with focus on Western Canada and the north of the United States* Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the organizations efforts in preparing for ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications. This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining a robust, process-driven Quality Management System (QMS) that supports operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Working collaboratively across all departments, the Quality Manager will help drive a culture of quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction through effective systems, metrics, and internal engagement. Duties & Responsibilities Lead the companys preparation and readiness efforts for ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certification, acting as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for related initiatives. Maintain and continuously improve the companys QMS in alignment with ISO standards, using a process-based approach to consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. Collaborate with all internal functions to ensure that established processesmaintained in the companys PLM system (Fusion Manage)are regularly reviewed, updated, and optimized. Oversee the cadence and structure of QMS-related management reviews to ensure they are effective, strategically aligned, and meet ISO certification requirements. This includes integrating or redefining existing meeting structures (e.g., PMR, Senior Leadership, Extended Leadership, Management Review Group, Board meetings) into a cohesive review cycle. Track and report key performance indicators and trends related to the QMS, such as customer satisfaction, quality objectives, audit findings, resource adequacy, nonconformities, and corrective/preventive actions. Conduct regular internal audits across all functional areas, working closely with teams to identify non-conformances and develop actionable, sustainable improvements. Provide leadership and guidance in embedding ISO 9001:2015 principles into the day-to-day practices of a high-performing, cross-functional organization. Utilize quality improvement methodologiessuch as Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)to support continual improvement initiatives. Serve as a champion for quality excellence, fostering a company-wide mindset of continuous improvement and proactive risk management. Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience leading ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001 certification initiatives within a complex, cross-functional organization. Strong knowledge of ISO standards, quality systems, and industry best practices. Practical experience with PLM systems (preferably Fusion Manage) and QMS implementation. Demonstrated ability to plan, lead, and report on internal audits and implement corrective/preventive actions. Familiarity with quality improvement tools and techniques, including Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and FMEA. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Strong organizational and analytical skills with a detail-oriented, hands-on approach. Ability to work independently in a contractor role, managing deliverables and timelines with minimal supervision.
