Direct mechanic/electrical team, Maintenance Supervisors, administrator and purchaser Ensure implementation of Preventive Maintenance Program Manage, design & implement capital projects. permit, Boiler inspections, Fire Alarm Inspection etc.) Monitor and report on mechanical/electrical downtime. Ensure system for timely completion of Maintenance Repairs and Minor Production Improvements Lead Environmental Committee and the implementation of the Manufacturing excellence chapter. Active member of site leadership team. Coordinate contractor activities as required. Develop and manage budget for maintenance department. The ideal candidate should have an Engineering degree and/or trade certification as a Licensed Millwright or Licensed Electrician A minimum of 5+ years as a maintenance manager experienced in a unionized, strongly automated, fast paced manufacturing facility. Food, beverage or packaged goods industry is a definite asset. Competence in PLC for troubleshooting and programming change would be an asset. Working knowledge of work orders and preventative maintenance. Experience with food processing, CFIA, HACCP, Continuous Improvement Process, Six Sigma would be an asset. Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as project management skills. Knowledge of MS Office. Flexibility to work alternating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
