Toronto''s new Ontario Line subway is now under construction. The Connect 6ix consortium has a key role in this project, delivering the trains, the signaling system, and the operations, storage, and maintenance facility. Connect 6ix will also operate the Ontario Line for a 30-year term once it comes into service. The Electrical Package Manager will be fully responsible for the end-to-end delivery of all electrical works on site, from early underground utilities and embedded services, through building distribution systems, to testing, commissioning, and energization. The role demands full control of site execution, trade coordination, sequencing, and interface management with all disciplines. The manager will ensure strict adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety requirements, and act as the focal point between the site team, subcontractors, design coordination, and the project leadership Full ownership of the electrical package delivery on site, covering underground works, slab embedments, building systems, and external services. Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with issued IFC drawings, specifications, and approved method statements. Daily management of subcontractors for electrical works, ensuring correct installation sequencing and adherence to project schedule. Coordinate closely with civil, structural, mechanical, and architectural teams to ensure embedded services are installed before structural pours. Verify and coordinate all underground and slab-on-grade electrical services: duct banks, grounding grids, communication conduits, power feeders. Manage interface between site works and offsite utility providers (Hydro, communication, fire alarm monitoring systems). Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality control, workmanship, and safety compliance. Review and resolve site technical queries, ensuring timely responses to RFIs and shop drawing reviews. Lead weekly site coordination meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders. Ensure all electrical testing, inspection, and commissioning activities are planned and completed to meet project milestones. Manage material tracking and ensure timely deliveries to site in line with construction needs. Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance across electrical activities on site. Proactively resolve field issues, conflicts, and constraints to maintain construction progress. Manage and close out site punch lists and deficiencies in coordination with the QA/QC team. Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field. Valid electrical trade qualification or site supervisory certification is an asset but not mandatory. PMP/LEED certification are an asset. Minimum 812 years of progressive experience in electrical construction management, with responsibility for full-scope electrical delivery on site. Proven track record managing electrical packages on large infrastructure, industrial, or transportation projects. Solid experience with: Embedded electrical systems and slab coordination. Fire alarm, data/communications, and security systems integration. Lighting and external electrical installations. Testing, commissioning, and final energization phases. Experience in managing subcontractors , driving daily site progress, and resolving field issues. Proficiency in using construction management tools (MS Project, Procore, etc.). Experience with document control systems and RFIs/submittal workflows. Familiarity with BIM coordination and model review is an advantage.
