To find out more about us, visit our website: Mandate/Role : Responsible for purchasing equipment, material, and services by consulting with users; determining and/or recommending the vendor; negotiating and resolving problems; expediting parts as required; establishing and maintaining product information sources and vendor contacts. Duties/Responsibilities : Reviews specifications and budgetary requirements with the end users; produces purchase orders as required. Determines sources of supply from defined vendor lists and new potential vendors, determines price and availability of material which may meet specifications; obtains samples for evaluation as required. Analyzes competitive offers in terms of price, quality and conformance to specification, and makes an award recommendation as per applicable company policies. Ensure vendors are offering levels of service both qualitatively and quantitatively as expected; resolves problems with equipment, service and material as required. Establishes and maintains vendor contacts to obtain information on market trends, new types of products and sources of supply; interviews sales reps; seeks and determines new or alternative sources of supply. Expedite parts through the supplier and their processors, identify constraints and explore solutions. Participation in supply chain maintenance. Identifying and qualifying newvendors, measuring and reporting vendor performance (quality and delivery) Participating in the management of on hand material for service and parts sales Knowledge, Skills/Attributes and Experience : Level III of the PMAC program or equivalent Minimum 5-7 years recent related experience or an equivalent combination ofeducation, training and experience Experience with an ERP system, preferably Infor Syteline Excellent English communication skills; Ability to effectively interact at various levels within the organization.
