The Mullings Group Search Canada has partnered with our client in Vaughan, Ontario to find a senior-level Fabricator within the point-of-purchase and retail display manufacturing sector. This opportunity is with a growing manufacturer and will report directly to their Director of Operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled professional with hands-on experience in custom manufacturing and someone who can not only glue, cement, and bend but also set up the team for success in these tasks. This is a full-time, on-site position and is not eligible for hybrid or remote work. Responsibilities Coordinate the daily activities of production lead hands, ensuring adherence to established processes and timelines. Construct accurate physical models and prototypes of retail displays and fixtures. Interpret technical drawings, 3D designs, and specifications to create precise models. Use various materials such as wood, metal, plastics, and composites in model construction. Operate and maintain workshop tools and equipment, including CNC machines. Ensure models meet quality standards and project specifications. Train new employees on equipment operation, safety protocols, and production standards. Maintain accurate inventory records and manage the requisition of materials and supplies to meet production schedules. Evaluate materials and finished products to ensure compliance with organizational quality standards. Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements. Monitor production performance and prepare reports for management, highlighting areas for improvement and success. Ensure a safe and productive working environment, adhering to all safety regulations and best practices. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance product development and operational efficiency. Qualifications 5+ years experience in custom displays (POP or POS fabrication) or merchandising. Technically strong to set up a station in bending, cementing, gluing, assembly, pushers, etc. Strong understanding and experience of fabrication processes and production techniques. Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and quality standards. Proficient in inventory management and production planning software. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
