As the Chief of Wiring, Avionics, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and Electrical/Electronic Design Assurance (EEDA), you will spearhead the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge avionics and electrical systems that meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and compliance. What Youll Do: Lead & Inspire: Command a multidisciplinary team of talented engineers, driving innovation in wiring, avionics systems, EMC, and EEDA. Set visionary goals that align with company objectives, propelling technological advancement. Serve as the go-to technical authority in your field, offering expert guidance and strategic insights. Drive Wiring & Avionics Innovation: Lead the design and seamless integration of advanced wiring harnesses, connectors, and electrical systems. Ensure every avionics system meets rigorous regulatory standards for hardware, software, and performance. Architect avionics systems with precision, optimizing their integration within complex aircraft environments. Master EMC & EEDA Excellence: Champion electromagnetic compatibility for avionics and electrical systems. Navigate and enforce compliance with key industry standards (DO-254, DO-160, ARP4754A, ARP4761). Oversee rigorous testing and validation processes, guaranteeing exceptional electrical and electromagnetic performance. Own Certification & Compliance: Collaborate directly with regulatory authorities (Transport Canada, FAA, EASA) to secure certification. Lead comprehensive documentation efforts for certification and validation. Ensure all systems achieve the highest standards of safety, quality, and airworthiness. What You Bring: Educational Prowess: Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields. Experience: 10+ years in avionics, wiring, or electrical systems within the aerospace industry. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead engineering teams to success. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of avionics systems, EMC standards, and regulatory frameworks (Transport Canada, FAA, EASA).
