About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to play a key part in evolving CAAT Pension Plans financial planning & analysis capabilities and supporting departments across the organization in making informed business decisions. The Senior Manager will support the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis with the growth and development of the financial planning & analysis team within the finance department. As the Newest Member of our Team, Youll: Support the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis with developing and executing the long-term strategy of the FP&A function at CAAT. Act as an independent thinker, problem solver and critical thinker to be able to provide insights and recommendations that others may typically miss. Provide CFO level support to business partners through delivering key financial analyses, aligning budget requests with organizational objectives and through providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations. Recommend and implement improvements to existing FP&A processes by identifying and implementing best practices, driving operational efficiencies, and ensuring scalability of FP&A processes as the organization grows. Support the annual budgeting process, working cross-functionally with different teams to ensure alignment on timelines, deliverables and most importantly, the annual strategic plan. Support the development and assessment of departmental budget requests to ensure alignment with CAATs strategy and support the preparation of the annual budget proposal document that ultimately goes to the Board of Trustees for approval. Develop processes to determine the return on investment of various projects and initiatives across CAAT and oversee project costs tracking to ensure appropriate cost attribution. Apply creative-thinking skills to solution for business decisions/questions that require ad-hoc financial analysis, modeling, and reporting while overseeing the execution of your solution, ensuring development of robust financial modelling and storytelling/communication skills across the team. Build and/or lead the building of forecasting models to help provide financial insights and recommendations to inform business decisions by collaborating cross-functionally to collect and analyze data, financial and non-financial, to develop accurate financial projections. Review quarterly budget variance reporting for the Board, oversee cost allocations in SAP S4Hana, maintain allocation methodology to reflect inter-department consumption, and lead meetings with departments to discuss actual spend, budget risks and opportunities to ensure accurate forecasting. To Succeed, You Bring: Bachelors degree, major in accounting or finance or equivalent. CPA designation is required, or an advanced degree or certification that focuses on data analytics and/or data science (i.e., masters degree, continuing education program, CFA etc.). A minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial planning and analysis roles or roles with similar/transferrable experience. Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with experience creating complex financial projections and budgets. Experience with SAP S4Hana and/or implementing an FP&A tool is an asset but not required. Excellent business partnering and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner including senior leadership teams and internal operations committees. Ability to see the bigger picture but still able to dive deep into the weeds when necessary. Possesses creative thinking skills, with a proven ability to approach problems and challenges in new and innovative ways. Strategic thinking and a proven ability to drive change and implementation of new initiatives. Excels in navigating ambiguity and is comfortable adapting to evolving priorities.
