The Opportunity As the Assessment and Inspection Lead , reporting to the Continuing Competence Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and administrative aspects of assessments and inspections within the College. This includes coordinating and supporting contract inspectors and assessors, ensuring transparency and integrity of processes, and fostering effective communication between the College, dental hygienists, and contractors. With a strong understanding of the College''s regulatory mandate, you will contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of assessment and inspection processes to ensure they deliver accurate, meaningful results. Your regular tasks will include overseeing inspections, assigning appropriate contractors, monitoring progress, reviewing outcomes, and supporting ongoing process improvements. You will also collaborate internally to ensure the inspections process aligns with the Colleges strategic priorities and ongoing regulatory responsibilities, including the continuing competence program. This role requires the ability to develop and implement tools, resources, and processes for assessments and inspections in compliance with applicable legislation and best practices. Communication skills are essential, as you will also serve as a primary point of contact for process-related queries, providing guidance and resolving issues for contractors and dental hygienists as they arise. Location The position is based in Edmonton. It is a hybrid role, allowing for a combination of remote work and required in-office hours. You will also possess strong planning and organizational skills and you are able to work independently with minimal supervision. Your experience will demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured documents and collaborate effectively across teams. Youre proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital platforms for collaboration. An understanding of the Colleges regulatory responsibilities under the Health Professions Act is important, and experience in a regulatory or education environment, particularly in assessment, inspection, or compliance roles, is considered an asset.
