This role requires several years of Automotive Part Design, dynamic, machined components are the best suited to this role. We also require someone who has leadership capabilities for this role. THIS IS A 1 YEAR CONTRACT ROLE TO START As a Senior Automotive Design Engineer , you are the person that ensures our product is properly designed, integrates into a car and functions correctly. This role relies on your experience over several years designing and releasing powertrain components into OEM vehicles. The role will generally be a mix of 1/3rd design, 1/3rd hands-on fabrication and 1/3rd process. In one day, you could design a component, have it fabricated and tested, and then call a meeting to review the results. This position has the opportunity to grow with the company, which is pretty common at Inmotive, and could lead to management level roles in the future. Expect to be continually challenged and constantly learning you will be immersed in the world of a new EV technology company in growth mode right off the bat. Requirements: - Automotive experience designing and releasing powertrain components into OEM vehicles. - You will be relied upon to follow APQP and ensure that development processes are followed. - DFMEA, DVP&R, 8D documents are tools youre used to applying to ensure design success. You can cite examples of when a stackup analysis has fixed a design or confirmed a test failure. - Youre comfortable working with prints & drawings and the revision & approval process. You understand the difference between an internal component drawing and an assembly print.
