About the opportunity: The Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Planning Analyst is responsible for the replenishment planning and inventory management activities for our Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) customers in their portfolio. The position is responsible for maintaining finished goods levels to meet customer service levels while efficiently utilizing logistic resources. The Analyst is to lead and support initiatives to foster long-term business growth and optimize cost of service through successful collaborative relationships. Please note this position can be located out of our GTA office or our Lougueuil, QC distribution centre. The attributes we are looking for: Determine optimal safety stock and inventory management strategy based on demand and shelf-life constraints Develop and execute the replenishment plan to ensure availability of Finished Goods to meet established targets of service and inventory levels Regularly monitor inventory to identify, mitigate, and resolve at risk inventory Optimize orders and inventory rotation to maximize shelf life at delivery and minimize total cost of service Ensure the accuracy and alignment of short-term forecasts with Sales and Demand Planning partners, incorporating insight and feedback from internal/external partners Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to drive continuous improvement activity Work with Customer Service and Logistics by providing direction to ensure customer service levels are achieved while keeping within budgets and guidelines (including regular demand orders, returns and selling off code inventory). Manage and report on Key Performance Indicators, providing root cause analysis and action plan for improvement What you will bring: Community college/university graduate preferably in business or supply chain One (1) to three (3) years of experience in Supply Chain/Inventory Management Excellent problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills Ability to build strong collaborative relationships (Demand Planning, Operations, Marketing, Logistics) while still acting as a catalyst for optimizing costs and fill rates Team player, understanding the needs, requirements, and priorities of other functional groups Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and understanding of priorities Ability to develop productive working relationships with key stakeholders in other departments and with customers Strong Knowledge of ERP/Planning systems preferably SAP and FuturMaster Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office products and the Internet including advanced proficiency MS Excel.
