Hays has partnered with a contractor, a leader in the Greater Toronto Area, who have been in business servicing our community for over four decades. They focus on ICI construction builds, mainly in the institutional sector having built many schools, community centers and other government funded buildings. The open position is for a Project Manager to report directly into one of our client''s principles. They will focus on managing institutional construction projects in the 10-20M dollar range and work out of our client''s office in North Toronto. They will visit job sites, develop detailed project plans and ensure projects are within schedule and budget. They will obtain any necessary permits, and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. They will collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors and internal personal and address any delays or issues that arise during the project. They will be the main point of contact for the respective client updating them on progress and addressing their concerns. The Project Manager will have a minimum of 10 years as a Construction Project Manager, and relevant education in architecture, construction management or civil engineering. They will have experience managing base build and renovation institutional projects ranging from $5M to $25M from start to finish. Experience building educational facilities is a definite asset. Finally they will be a good communicator with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders and be proficient in construction software.
