Our client, a well-established mid-sized litigation firm, is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Lawyer to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities: Manage a broad range of insurance defense matters including MVA, property damage, occupiers liability, and SABS Handle files from inception to resolution, including discoveries, mediations, motions, and trial work Draft pleadings, correspondence, and court materials Maintain regular communication with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel Work autonomously with support from senior lawyers as needed Qualifications: 36 years of post-call experience in insurance defense or plaintiff personal injury Confident advocate with strong litigation and drafting skills Organized, responsive, and comfortable with independent file carriage Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario Perks: Competitive compensation and benefits package Hybrid work model (23 days/week in office) Transparent growth path with strong mentorship Supportive and collaborative firm culture Exposure to a variety of complex litigation files
