Your day to day role will involve: Providing leadership across the organization being the key HR Contact to implement processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness. Hiring, onboarding, training, conducting performance evaluations, and taking corrective actions with employees in conjunction with managers, including termination and offboarding. Engaging in conflict resolution process to resolve issues. Implementing and managing the progressive discipline policy. Overseeing and tracking staff attendance and grievance handling process with the union. Maintaining and updating the companys employee handbook and personnel policies in accordance with all provincial and federal requirements, training and educating staff where necessary. Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of all employees at all times. Key Qualifications: Post-Secondary degree in a relevant field (human resources, business administration). CHRP designation is an asset. 5-10 years experience in an HR role preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience working in a unionised environment dealing with employee grievances.
