Job Description

TRITAN Group Recruitment has partnered with a renowned general contractor to find an experienced project manager for their Edmonton team. The project manager will join a vibrant team, oversee all Pre-Engineered Building construction stages, and support projects across all operational business units. This includes ensuring the project is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while leading and supporting the project team. Roles and responsibilities Delivering the highest quality projects on time and within budget Manage construction schedules continuously, monitor progress against established schedules, and report to the stakeholders. Develop and manage project budgets and present detailed financial forecasts, reporting issues or shortfalls within the project. Professional management and communication with all stakeholders. Contract negotiation for material procurement, with trades and equipment. You will prepare subcontracts and effectively manage changes to contractual agreements with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Implement and manage quality control programs. To ensure project success, you must manage and coordinate shop drawings, change orders, purchase orders, etc., on time. Maintain and foster a workplace culture committed to safety. Other duties as required by circumstance. Qualifications A minimum of 7 10 years of commercial construction experience Knowledge of construction methods, codes and best practices in the construction environment. Ability to read, interpret, and understand building drawings, specifications, contract documents, shop drawings, and other similar documents. Able to perform material take-offs and quantity checks as needed Strong understanding of project accounting and experience with project forecasting and reporting to financial institutions and quantity surveyors Results-oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines. Understand construction regulations and legislation. Strong leadership and people management skills. Superb computer skills - MS Office, MS Project, ProCore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, etc. PMP, Gold Seal, and LEED certification are considered assets.
