Webuild has won a new contract to deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line and we are currently seeking a Buyer This position is a full-time 100% onsite position at our downtown office. Responsible for the procurement of goods and services required for the execution of the Project. Successfully perform procurement activities in accordance with the project procurement plan, approved corporate and or project policies, procedures, plans, strategies, and budgets. Develop procurement strategy, bidders lists and preparation of procurement tender (RFQ) documents. Communicate with suppliers, electronically or by organizing clarification meetings, on all critical procurement-related matters. Support the procurement lead with project coordination with the client Prepare comparative tables, negotiate commercial conditions with suppliers, prepare procurement recommendations and other communications to the client. Work collaboratively with key project stakeholders to ensure requirements are captured in the total cost-of-ownership solution. Support the administration department with PO and invoice reconciliation Support the procurement team on daily activities as required. Must have a bachelors degree, diploma in a related field. Minimum of 4 years of Procurement experience, ideally in the Engineering and construction industry or on Transit/Rail infrastructure projects. Solid PC skills with MS Office and database tools. Experience working in Procurement for similar projects Technical knowledge in the areas of construction-related materials and services or similar industries. Understanding of procurement principles, techniques, practices, and ethics. Understanding of ERP systems (ideally SAP) would be an asset. Ability to analyze complex data and derive well-supported linear and non-linear premises.
