Position Overview:LawDepot is currently expanding and looking to recruit a Technical Writer in Edmonton, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for producing UI copy and how-to documentation that empowers non-technical users to make effective use of our internal Content Management System (CMS). A secondary responsibility will be creating interactive web products and services that are helpful, easy to understand, and a pleasure to use for our 25 million plus yearly visitors. This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week with opportunities for a hybrid office work schedule. Primary Responsibilities:Write and edit clear, plain-language UI copy (ex. headings, labels, error messages, in-app instructions and help content) for our internal CMS tools so that the interfaces are easy for non-technical users to understand, learn and use Create and update internal CMS training documentation (ex. FAQs, guides, step-by-step instructions with screenshots and videos) that provide support for internal team members to learn our tools faster and complete projects more efficiently Build expertise with our internal CMS tools by directly completing implementation projects (ex. revising our interactive questionnaire products, setting up and taking down A/B experiments, etc.)Create and polish training materials for additional non-CMS tools, reports, and processesReview and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity and relevance as system features evolvePartner with cross functional teams in Product, UX, Marketing and Legal to improve and organize company Intranet documentationEnsure all support content is well-organized, easily accessible and up to date for efficient team collaborationParticipate in knowledge-sharing and training sessions with other teams to gain the necessary technical and strategic context for writing accurate, effective copyDevelop and refresh customer-facing documentation for products and featuresCollaborate across departments to gather insights, share feedback and ensure that documentation and UI content are consistent, user-friendly, and aligned with team objectives Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Post-secondary education in Writing, Communications, UX, Business, Library Science, or other relevant fieldsProven aptitude for UX writing, technical writing, plain language writing, and web content writing (ex.
