Based in Vancouver, we pride ourselves on delivering innovative and stylish glasses, offering customers fast and affordable solutions for all their vision needs.Summary:We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to manage the end-to-end procurement process, from demand planning to sourcing and supplier management. The Buyer will play a key role in ensuring product availability to meet customer demands while minimizing costs, optimizing inventory turnover, and broadening the selection to drive business growth. This role will also be instrumental in maintaining strong supplier relationships and achieving long-term procurement goals.Responsibilities:Demand Planning & Procurement:Develop and maintain demand forecasts to ensure optimal stock levels.Work with the team to generate and manage purchase orders (POs) to maintain inventory levels in line with company objectives.Work with the team to monitor goods receipts and work with relevant teams to resolve any discrepancies.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess inventory requirements and adjust orders accordingly.Work with the warehouse team to manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal weeks of cover and reducing dead stock.Sourcing & Supplier Management:Negotiate with suppliers to maximize cost savings, secure favorable terms, and ensure timely delivery of materials and products.Partner with the Design Team to understand design requirements and sourcing needs for the in-house brand.Gather requirements from internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs.Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, considering quality, pricing, and lead times.Negotiate terms and contracts with suppliers to ensure best value and secure long-term partnerships to support the KITS in-house brand portfolio.Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring performance aligns with contractual terms.Track and manage supplier performance, focusing on timely deliveries, quality standards, and cost savings.Develop and maintain contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies.Discrepancy & Inventory Management:Resolve any issues related to order discrepancies, defective goods, and supplier performance concerns.Assist in managing inventory adjustments and coordinate with finance for any variances.Proactively work on inventory optimization initiatives, minimizing costs while ensuring stock availability.The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $70,000-$100,000.
