This is a critical role that manages the inventory and purchasing across our US and Canada locations. Candidate must be a highly motivated, exceptional leader who is a strong analyst and has a deep understanding of inventory management. BuildDirect imports containers of flooring into our Pro Centers. In addition, we manage drop ship inventory and supplies across our locations. This role will own the purchasing, analysis and projections for inventory across the business including our Pro Centers and our ecommerce business. This role requires constantly analyzing and updating our data to understand what is happening at the SKU level across locations. Youll call the locations to understand exceptions and changes to the flow. And develop detailed models to project our sales over time, so that we can properly order inventory. Responsibilities:Inventory Analysis and ManagementAnalyze our sales across SKUs to understand where our margin and costs are entering into the business. Develop models around shipping, duties and tariffs which change as needed.Understanding how our inventory needs are changing at each location of BuildDirect. Develop plans for new locations as they come online. Keeping the data in our systems updated. Sales ProjectionsProjecting sales at the SKU level across time to understand how inventory levels will change. Continuously updating location specific projections based on actual data as it comes in.PurchasingManage our purchasing process across the business to make sure were efficiently ordering and controlling the merchandise in each location. Keeping track of inventory in process and on the water. Qualifications: Three years or more of inventory management and inventory analysis experience.Understanding of how to properly project sales across SKUs and locations with a seasonal impact. Strong sense of ownership, initiative and execution.An understanding of the construction/flooring industry is ideal.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Preference to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment.This role is a critical part of the BuildDirect team and helps steer the business through a period of growth and change.
