New Metric is also recognized as a leader in 360 brand marketing for its success with Letterkenny and Shoresy off-screen extensions, including beer, collectible merchandise as well as live events including most recently the Shoresy Fall Classic, a North American tour with the stars of the series.THE ROLENew Metric Media is looking for a YouTube Channels Manager to oversee and grow our presence on the platform. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the ground level of a newly formed team. We're looking for someone whos comfortable in a fast-moving environment, adaptable as priorities shift, and hands-on in their approach. The successful candidate will manage and optimize our existing YouTube channels while dedicating most of their time to launching and building a new one. Were seeking someone with a strong understanding of YouTube content strategy, production and platform mechanicssomeone who can use data to inform decisions, spot emerging trends, test and refine ideas, and ultimately drive viewership and engagement.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESContent & Programming Strategy: Develop and implement a programming strategy to grow our YouTube channel by increasing subscribers, boosting watch time, and maximizing reach and engagement. This includes leveraging our existing content library, launching original content, and integrating acquired programming.Programming Execution: Manage the scheduling and release of videos, ensuring all uploads follow SEO best practice, including metadata, titles, and thumbnails, to improve discoverability. Review content before and after publication to optimize performance, providing clear, actionable feedback to editors, creators, and other collaborators to ensure each video meets quality and engagement goals.Data Analysis: Set and manage performance goals for our YouTube channels. Use advanced analytics to track viewer engagement, optimize content strategy, and drive growth. Monitor trends and patterns to inform programming decisions and identify opportunities for virality.Viral Hacking: Use creative, data-informed tactics to boost visibility and engagement. This includes SEO, thumbnail optimization, and a strong understanding of YouTubes algorithm to maximize reach, discoverability, and potential for virality.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Starting as a team of one, work closely with our scripted development team, Podcast & Stand-up team, creators, video editors and Marketing to drive and execute on our programming strategy and ensure content quality and alignment with our brand voice.QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of experience in YouTube channel management, content programming, or direct-to-consumer growth (ecommerce or video).Proven track record of growing a YouTube channel or similar social platform, ideally within the entertainment industry.Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using tools like YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar platforms.Creative, content hacking mindsetable to think outside the box and apply unconventional strategies to boost visibility and engagement.Self-starter who thrives in unstructured environments, with a strong bias toward action.Strategic, solutions-oriented thinker who is proactive and resourceful.Excellent project management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting.High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to delivering outstanding results.Passion for TV, film, and the evolving digital media landscape.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.OUR TEAM AND WORKPLACEHybrid role based in downtown Toronto (3 days in-office).Join a growing, comedy-focused entertainment studio.Collaborative, creative environment with industry exposure.Interested candidates please email C.V. to: amazingopportunities@newmetricmedia.com
