Our client is currently seeking a full-time permanent Outside Technical Sales Representative to work with their growing team in Edmonton, AB.Reporting to the General Manager, this position will be responsible for selling industrial automation and control solutions products. This position evaluates and brings new business opportunities for the company.Our client offers a competitive compensation package, including a RRSP match program, dental care, vision care, and extended health care.ResponsibilitiesSeek new customers in Western Canada, focused on the commercial, municipality, oil and gas sector as well as other market sectors.Build and maintain positive relationships with existing customers.Identify the needs of each customer and recommend cost effective, commercial off the shelf or customized solutions for all related industrial automation and control solutions products and services.Recommend product improvements and development strategies to improve market penetration.Develop a marketing strategy complete with KPIs for expansion of the current customer base and market share.Participate in budget plans and maintenance.Coordinate with Engineering staff to ensure that customers expectations are met.Source additional off the shelf products and/or recommend the development of custom designed products to increase the companys product/service mix.Support the ongoing creation and modification of marketing materials, both print and online based.Provide technical support to customers as required.Qualifications2+ years' direct sales experience in an industrial, technical environment, preferably within the municipality, commercial and oil and gas industries.Available to travel within Western Canada on a regular basis.Experience in the oil and gas industry is a definite asset.Technical background in wireless data communications and/or data acquisition systems is an asset.A technical certificate or diploma in electrical/electronic or instrumentation technology is an asset.Previous SCADA experience including field (RTU's and flow computers) and host systems is an asset.Knowledge of data acquisition systems and wireless communication systems is an asset.Broad understanding of telemetry, protocol communications and data integration techniques is an asset.Ability to interact effectively with Engineering staff and non-technical customers alike.Self-motivated, possessing good organizational abilities, with ability to work independently.Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Work ConditionsTravel within Western Canada requiredFlexible work hours availablePlease submit applications to slaing@teemagroup.com.We sincerely thank all applicants for their interest.
