We officially started production in our North Carolina facility in August 2023, we continue to ramp up production in this facility and we are planning an $85M expansion.Job Overview - The Crump Group is seeking a motivated and results orientated Business Development Representative to join our team. You will play a crucial role in driving new business and expanding our footprint in the grocery, mass, club, Farm and Feed channels. This is a hands-on, client-facing role that combines strategic outreach, administrative functions, and customer service excellence. The successful candidate will be a relentless, aggressive, results oriented individual who likes to work and hard and celebrate wins.Role and Responsibilities: Business Development: Proactively engage with new prospects through cold calling, emailing, and in-person visits to identify potential business opportunities.Lead Follow-Up: Manage and follow up on leads, building strong connections, with the goal to close sales. Able to work the sales process utilizing phone sales, emails, online and live meetings.Market Research: Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to uncover new business opportunities.Presentation Support: Collaborate in the creation of impactful presentations for prospective clients, leveraging data to craft compelling stories and demonstrate value.Customer Service Excellence: Deliver superior customer service to support retention and market growth, ensuring all client expectations are met.Quota Achievement: Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets and KPIs on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.Administrative Support: Assist with the preparation and submission of customer paperwork (e.g., deal sheets), manage CRM entries, and contribute to internal reporting.Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing and Operations teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on business development strategies.Recipe for Success:Post-secondary diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in a related field (business, sales, marketing, etc.).2+ years of experience in sales, business development, ideally in the CPG sector.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and industry trends to inform business strategies.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and influence at all levels.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM software and sales tools is a plus.Previous experience preparing and submitting customer-related paperwork, including deal sheets, proposals, and contracts.A Few Extra Ingredients:Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently, with a self-starter mentality and strong attention to detail.Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment, collaborating effectively across departments.Loves pets!
