We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Corporate Controller to oversee and optimize the overall operations of both the pub and liquor store. This leadership role is critical in ensuring operational excellence, financial health, and the continued growth of our business. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership: o Establish operational objectives and formulate policies and programs to drive success. o Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth and enhance customer experiences. 2. Resource Management: o Allocate material, human, and financial resources to achieve organizational goals. o Implement financial and administrative controls to ensure operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility. 3. Organizational Oversight: o Coordinate and oversee key departments, divisions, and senior staff positions. o Lead recruitment and selection of managers and key personnel. 4. Operational Coordination: o Oversee daily operations of the pub and liquor store, ensuring efficiency and exceptional service delivery. o Manage inventory control, procurement, and supplier relationships for optimal stock management. 5. Promotional and Personnel Planning: o Formulate and approve promotional campaigns and events to drive revenue and customer engagement. o Oversee personnel planning to ensure the right talent is in place for long-term success. 6. Representation and Negotiations: o Represent the business in negotiations with suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders. o Act as a key representative of The Black Sheep Pub at official events or community engagements. 7. Regulatory Compliance: o Ensure adherence to liquor licensing laws, health and safety standards, and financial regulations. o Monitor compliance to mitigate risks and maintain business integrity. 8. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: o Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and improvements. o Prepare and present comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations to ownership. Qualifications: Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of management experience, preferably in the hospitality or retail sectors. Strong understanding of business operations, financial management, and regulatory compliance. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in accounting tools, operational software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of liquor store and pub regulations in British Columbia is an asset. Why Join Us?
