This includes the development of hospitality assets in key North American markets, as well as mixed-use master-planned communities.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst / Associate to support both our Acquisitions and Development teams. This individual will play a key role in identifying, analyzing, and executing real estate investment opportunities focused on the expansion of our development pipeline in North America. The role will involve financial analysis, due diligence, project management, and market research, with a particular focus on mixed-use developments, hotels, and leisure assets. The position will require significant travel throughout Canada and the United States.Key ResponsibilitiesAcquisitionsConduct market research and financial analysis for potential real estate acquisitions across North America.Analyze local real estate markets to understand trends, zoning regulations, and development potential.Compile and analyze recent sales data to assess market value and support pricing decisions.Track and maintain a pipeline of potential acquisition opportunities, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate documentation.Build and maintain detailed financial models, including underwriting for mixed-use developments, hotels, and resort expansions.Assist in preparing investment memos and presentations for senior leadership and investment committees.Coordinate due diligence efforts, including legal, financial, and operational assessments.Engage with brokers, owners, and stakeholders to source and evaluate potential acquisitions.Conduct thorough searches of property databases (Co-Star, Crexi, etc.), MLS platforms, and public records to identify potential land acquisition opportunities.DevelopmentSupport the execution of development projects, including entitlement processes, feasibility studies, and proforma modeling.Work closely with architects, planners, and consultants on master planning and site development.Assist in preparing budgets, schedules, and risk assessments for active projects.Monitor project performance and report on key development milestones.Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure projects align with financial and strategic objectives.Assist in maintaining or creating new partnership opportunities within master-planned developments.Support the structuring of creative capital solutions, including joint ventures, public-private partnerships, and alternative financing mechanisms.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelors degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.2-5 years of experience in private equity, finance, real estate finance, or large-scale real estate development, ideally with some exposure to hospitality, mixed-use, or resort projects.Strong financial modeling and underwriting skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.Experience with due diligence, legal documentation, and transaction structuring.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work independently.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to travel in the United States & Canada.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of the hospitality and resort industry, including hotel operations and market trends.Familiarity with zoning, entitlements, and permitting processes in multiple markets.Background in feasibility studies and financial structuring of real estate projects.Experience using property databases (e.g., CoStar, Crexi, LoopNet, MLS) is a plus.Interest in the ski industry and health and wellness industry.To ApplyInterested candidates should submit a resume Jerry Zhang: jerryz@pomeroylodging.com
