About the opportunity: The Senior Food Safety Auditor manages Lactalis Canadas internal Quality Food System audit program, ensuring compliance with Lactalis Group and Canadian standards (GMP, HACCP, SFCR, etc.). They conduct plant audits, support HACCP improvements, and train personnel on regulatory requirements. Additionally, they drive quality transformation through the QFS Long-Term Plan (LTP). The attributes we are looking for: Audit plants for compliance with internal standards and external regulations related to labelling and food safety. Prepare audit reports, communicate outcomes and ensure action items are seen through to completion. Prepare and communicate the QFS compliance dashboard on HACCP and SFCR (Safe Food for Canadian Regulation). Interact with external inspectors as required. Collaborate with plants to address instances of significant non-compliance with standards. Lead the Lactalis Canada Food Safety and Quality internal audit programs with plants: Support the plant HACCP coordinator network. Train plant HACCP coordinators on HACCP and SFCR. Act as subject matter expert (HACCP and SFCR) during crisis and incidents. Support plant self-assessments and internal audits. Lead the implementation of 365 days audit readiness: Lead projects to enhance programs and processes Represents Lactalis Canada in the Lactalis Group network on HACCP in France Coordinate cross-factory and cross-divisions improvement plans on HACCP and SFCR What you will bring: Bachelors degree in food science. 10+ years auditing experience in the food industry including dairy BILINGUAL FRENCH & ENGLISH IS MANDATORY National travel as needed (within Canada) Expertise of GFSI (preferably FSSC22000), food safety (HACCP) programs, Preventive Controls, and Quality Systems standards Strong Microsoft Office skills, PowerBI or QlikSense is a plus. Skills in creating forms with Datahex Paperless tool is a plus.
