Description: We are looking for a Stores Lead (Afternoons) to support the Stores Supervisor in managing the Stores department including personnel, materials handling, shipping, receiving and tooling. This role will perform random audits as required to meet quality, cost and time commitments. To achieve these goals, you will interact with on-site customer representatives and work closely with other departments as needed. What you will be responsible for: Keep detailed reports on all parts in relation to each project in the AMO; Provide timely updates on significant issues and developments to the crew chiefs and Stores supervisor Perform escalated expediting when required to ensure on time delivery of material Solve work-related issues and recommend measures to improve productivity and ensure quality of service Manage inventory adjustments Provide guidance, coaching and training to their team, creating a safe atmosphere for the team and manage employee performance As required, perform responsibilities of direct reports as required and backfill for Stores Supervisor as required Materials Handler tasks, as needed Work to maintain a strong relationship with functional support groups to ensure all activity is compliant and conforms to the AMO and Customer Guidelines What you will need to be successful in this role: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Experience in a similar position Leadership experience considered an asset Ability to utilize computer systems to input and retrieve information to perform normal daily activities & familiarity with Microsoft Office software The rewards of your career at AAR go far beyond just your salary: Annual Uniform and Safety Boot Allowance Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
