Job Description: We are hiring an experienced Commercial/Residential Electrician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, for commercial and residential projects in The Bahamas. The successful candidate will work on diverse projects, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes (based on Canadian Code) while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, and equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in commercial and residential settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Ensure compliance with the Bahamas Electrical Code, Canadian Electrical Code (where applicable), and other relevant regulations. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to meet project deadlines. Supervise local electricians and helpers Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Qualifications and Requirements: Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification (Canadian Red Seal preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrician, with proven expertise in 3-phase systems. Strong knowledge of 3-phase power distribution, motor controls, and commercial electrical installations. Familiarity with Canadian and/or international electrical codes; knowledge of Bahamas Electrical Code is an asset. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA or equivalent standards. Willingness to relocate to The Bahamas (relocation assistance provided). Valid passport and ability to work internationally. Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.
