Were looking for an enthusiastic Learning & Development Specialist to join our team, someone who wants to make an impact and learn from the best.If youre driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about building a long-term career, Steelcon offers an exciting opportunity to grow and succeed.Why Join Us:Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Learning & Development Specialist is a critical role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training and professional development programs that support organizational growth, employee skill enhancement, and strategic talent development.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments across the organization to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities.Design and develop engaging training content, including instructor-led workshops, e-learning modules, and blended learning programs.Create and maintain a robust learning management system (Dayforce) to track and manage employee training progress.Collaborate with 3rd party vendors for learning & development opportunities for individual employees and teams.Develop and implement onboarding programs for new employees to ensure smooth integration into the organization.Design leadership development and career progression programs.Collaborate with department heads to align training initiatives with organizational goals and strategic objectives.Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, performance metrics, and return on investment (ROI) analysis.Stay current with emerging learning technologies, instructional design methodologies, and industry best practices.Assist the organization in an HR Business Partner capacity when required.Participate and lead other initiatives.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related fieldMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in learning and development, training, or instructional design, preferably in a manufacturing / construction setting.Professional certification preferred.Advanced proficiency in learning management systems (preferably Dayforce) and e-learning tools.Strong instructional design skills with experience in creating various learning content formatsExcellent communication and presentation skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to measure training effectiveness.Soft SkillsCreative problem-solving.Excellent interpersonal communication.Adaptability and flexibility.Strategic thinking.Empathy and cultural awareness.Project management.Physical RequirementsAbility to work in an office environment.Occasional travel may be required for on-site training and workshops to the Niagara region and the US.Comfortable working with computer systems for extended periods.Steelcon offers a unique opportunity to grow and make a meaningful impact.
