Both men and women are strongly encouraged to apply!Farm Labour Supervisor/Assistant GrowerJob Details: Full Time Monday to Saturday 8:00am to 5:00 pm 24.00/hr Co-ordinate, assign and supervise farm workers Assist with growing and other crop related operations Train farm workers Ensure farm safety/food safety procedures are followed Maintain quality control and production records May perform general farm duties Assist with and operate general farm equipment and maintenance of equipment and toolsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: College or diploma program or equivalent 2 years experience in a greenhouse environmentPhysical Abilities: Able to lift heavy material (up to 23 kg/50lbs) Able to climb and stand on feet for extended period of time Work in temperature-controlled environment of approximately 25C Must be able to bend, twist, stretch or reach with body, arms and /or legsJob Requirements:The incumbent will be committed to customer service excellence and leadingby example. A positive attitude in the workplace is required as is the ability to adhere to all human resources, operational and food/health & safety procedures.
