Scheduling Coordinator Halifax, Nova Scotia Strum is currently looking to expand our Environmental Assessments and Approvals division and has an opening in our Halifax office for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities: Create and maintain detailed schedules for environmental assessments, remediation projects, and other field activities. Utilize scheduling software to track project progress and identify potential issues. Develop and update schedules based on project scope, client requirements, interproject dependencies and resource availability. Develop and implement contingency plans to address schedule deviations. Support existing field and reporting teams while demonstrating ability to work independently and as part of a larger close-knit team. Support drafting of successful expressions of interest and technical and financial proposals for all sizes of projects. Outline and write technical contents with the support of our subject matter experts. Support Project Managers during the contracting phase, as well as once a bid is awarded, to make sure the work is resourced and scheduled accordingly. Develop and improve relevant company tools for the management of bids and proposals. Qualifications: Knowledge of environmental industry/field work: Understanding of field work practices, processes, and sequencing and their impact on project schedule activities. Educational background in environmental sciences is considered an asset. Strong organizational and time management skills: Hard-working and systematic with the ability to develop smart approaches and self-organizing tools, as well as prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and oral communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and field teams in a professional and prompt manner. Proficiency in scheduling large teams: Proven ability to coordinate large schedules with varying skill requirements and resource needs. Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve schedule conflicts and other issues on the fly. Attention to detail: Accuracy and thoroughness in schedule development and professional writing. Strong technical aptitude: Ability to analyze information, prepare schedules and reports and drive efficiency. Flexible and works well in a deadline-drive, fast-paced environment: Ability to juggle many priorities and work under pressure to meet constant deadlines in a professional and positive manner. Proposal writing experience: Independentbut able to support the Project Managers to deliver high quality proposals and bid documentation, managing both theadministrative and technical contents. Your educational background/experience should allow you to technically write bids and proposals within the environmental service area of the company with the support of our subject experts. Eligibility Critieria: Drivers License is required. This is an in-person position at our Halifax office.
