Senior Oracle Programmer Analyst Number of positions 1, 11month contract position Location Fredericton, NB CA Must be eligible to work in Canada Hybrid role, must be able to work onsite in Fredericton as needed Roles and responsibilities: To provide application support services to the client business and technical teams. The client uses over 80 custom business applications on a variety of platforms and technology stacks. The predominant environment is Oracle Forms 11gR2 and Oracle Reports against Oracle 19 databases. These applications make extensive use of PL/SQL. There are also several applications developed in various .NET stacks. The Programmer Analyst should have a strong development background in Oracle Forms and reports, extensive knowledge of PL/SQL components such as database packages, procedures, triggers, and functions. They should also have strong comprehension of database structures, schemas, and query building. Experience in development in .NET stacks including Forms, VB .NET C# and Visual Studio would be an asset. The successful candidate must deliver the following to successfully complete the engagement: 1. Problem identification and solution proposal: Analyze bugs and/or change requests for modifications to existing functionality and propose solutions for fixes and/or updates to the support team. 2. Solution development: Implement approved solutions to problems throughout the appropriate areas of the technology stack (ie. Database, triggers, PL/SQL and form or report). 3. Application development: As required, potentially develop new small to medium applications to meet provided functional requirements as requested by the manager and/or supervisor. 4. Technical Documentation: Provide or update documentation per unit standards (to be provided as needed) to support bug fixes and/or implemented changes. 5. Participate in team scrums: As a member of the overall support team, take part in team scrums and meetings to report on progress, issues etc. Must have skills/qualifications/experience: 7+ years of IM/IT Experience 5+ years experience as a Programmer Analyst 5 years experience in developing Oracle Forms & Reports based interfaces using a variety of controls and validations. 5 years experience in Oracle PL/SQL including creation, maintenance and debugging of advanced packages, procedures, and functions. 5 years experience in Oracle PL/SQL including creation, maintenance and debugging of assorted database event triggers. 5 years experience in interpreting and defining Oracle database table and field specifications for complex systems with multiple interdependencies. 5 years experience in reading and analyzing complex database schemas. 3 years experience working with a distributed team across multiple disciplines (Business Analysts, DBAs, Developers, and end users). 5years experience requiring strong verbal and written communication skills, able to target communications to audience (e.g., technical, non-technical). 3 years experience working in a team environment with a focus on support and maintenance demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
