Position Purpose: Plan, organize, administer, direct and control distribution operations to ensure efficient and profitable utilization of manpower, facilities, equipment and funds while complying with Company, HR and governmental policies and procedures. Primary Duties: Leadership accountability for operations meeting or exceeding all defined key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics (e.g., quality, productivity, safety, etc.) which include, but not limited to, expectations as contained in PDC Performance Challenge scorecard and monthly performance review packages. Develop, approve and control PDC expense and capital plans by organizing, coordinating and directing all PDC activities. Initiate and administer adequate security measures and policies to prevent loss and damage to PDC facilities and contents. Ensure proper control of inventory write-offs. Responsible for the promotion, employee empowerment and maintenance of good housekeeping practices and safety programs that abide by all facility, Company and governmental regulations. Develop and maintain an awareness of technological advancement within distribution and logistics industries, utilize systems in both office and operations, with customers and dealers, and make recommendations. Ensure the efficient utilization of space, equipment, facility maintenance, security and resource allocation. HR, Safety, Environmental and Security policies and procedures are effectively maintained and enforced as necessary. Assure exposure and communications with local governmental agencies, Canada, local police and fire departments, etc. Manage and review local transportation providers performance. Facilitate modifications to carrier agreements and operations. Evaluate all facility employee performance, conducting regular evaluations and associated recognition events. Plan and manage employee incentive programs to increase facility performance and strengthen employee morale and team culture. Responsible to ensure all required training is completed as per Corporate and legislated requirements.
