Looking for an experienced Estimator to join a well-known mechanical contractor. Your New Company: Our client has been a leader in the industry for over 40 years, specializing in pre-fabrication, modular systems, and the installation of large-scale residential, commercial, institutional, educational, and medical design-build plumbing and mechanical projects. If youre seeking a thriving environment with abundant growth opportunities and a company that embraces innovation and cutting-edge technology, look no further! Your New Role: Ready to dive into construction estimation? As a Mechanical Estimator, you''ll interpret and analyze project documentation, lead RFI processes, and develop comprehensive proposals. You''ll coordinate RFQ and RFP submissions, maintain estimating databases, and support project handovers. Mentor junior estimators, collaborate on strategy, and prepare detailed cost estimates, ensuring compliance with codes like BCPC, TSBC, CSA, ANSI, and ASHRAE. What Youll Need to Succeed: We are seeking a candidate with a strong grasp of the mechanical industry and a proven track record of contributing to successful mechanical estimates within a collaborative team environment. You should have solid knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems in construction projects, along with a strong understanding of and ability to apply Canadian construction codes and standards. You must be skilled in interpreting complex construction documents, identifying scope gaps, and filling in missing HVAC and plumbing information based on experience, code knowledge, and practical constructability. Technically proficient, detail-oriented, and committed to quality, you should also be a strong communicator who builds trust and fosters positive working relationships. You should remain steady under pressure, supporting the team through tight timelines and shifting priorities, and be committed to team success over individual recognition, with a willingness to follow leadership direction and support colleagues wherever needed. An investment in continuous learning, sharing knowledge, and helping others grow is essential. What Youll Get in Return: As the Estimator, you will earn a competitive compensation package ($100K-$125K), plus RRSP, competitive benefits, bonus, phone allowance, and three or more weeks of vacation. This is a great opportunity to join an established team and grow your career. What You Need to Do Now: If this opportunity sounds like the right next step in your career, apply now or reach out to me directly. Your Hays consultant looks forward to connecting with qualified candidates to discuss the next steps.
