Business Analyst I Reports ToBusiness Analyst LeadPurposeThe Business Analyst I will plan, manage, elicit and document business and system requirement for the development of Highgates core banking system. They will also act as a liaison between technology and operations team as well as the clients. Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms feasibility analysis, scope projects and work with the project management team to prioritize deliverablesAnalyze business needs presented by the user community and recommend technical solutionsCreate detailed business requirement documents (BRD) and translate it into function and non-functional specificationsPartner with development and analytic teams to provide reporting on software solutionsSpecify, design and solicit requirements for net new applicationsParticipate in integration testing, user acceptance testing and functionality testingAssist with the configuration of new and upgraded environmentsAssist with product training and demonstrationsFacilitate meetings and lead discussions (i.e. design sessions, sprint planning, backlog grooming, story breakdown, test strategy discussions, etc.)Participate in product implementationsProvide first level support during implementations and before handoff to client servicesOther relevant duties as assigned QualificationsBachelor degree in computer science, finance, business or a related fieldExperience within a business analyst roleWorking towards Certified Business Analyst Professional certificationExperience with financial applicationsDirect Experience with Banking SystemsFocus on LOS and Internet BankingInvolvement in Technical WorkKnowledge and practice of agile methodologyAbility to elicit requirements and conduct an analysis of business needs, including leading meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business lines, external clients and technology leadersSuperior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of the project life cycle methodologyAbility to communicate at a business level (oral and written) in French or Spanish will considered a strong assetAbility to review test plans and test cases resolving any issues that may ariseKnowledge of data mappingExperience with system testingFluent in English with ability to speak Spanish and/or French would be an asset Special Factors Overtime maybe required International travel will be required Weekends and Evenings maybe required Scope Will work directly with Software Engineers, Project Managers, clients, sales and other business units Will work in a matrix environment reporting to the Director of Products & Delivery & the Business Analyst lead
