Paralegal (Hybrid Oakville, ON)Company: WellStatLocation: Oakville, ON (Hybrid: 34 days in office/week)Type: Full-TimeIndustry: SaaS & Energy ManagementABOUT YOU:You have experience supporting a wide range of legal and corporate functions, particularly with contract review, drafting, and administration. Youre comfortable working cross-functionally with departments such as Sales, HR, Operations, and Finance. You have supported contract workflows involving NDAs, MSAs, licensing agreements, leases, and vendor procurement. You take pride in your attention to detail and have a proven ability to manage legal documents and deadlines with minimal oversight. You have experience using e-signature platforms like DocuSign or Adobe Sign and know how to keep legal files organized, compliant, and accessible. With WellStat, buildings can promote a healthy environment by showcasing safe air quality levels through real-time monitoring and reporting.THE ROLE:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to support the legal function at WellStat. In this hybrid role, based out of our Oakville office, you will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and managing a variety of contracts and legal documents. Youll work closely with executive leadership and teams across the organization, helping ensure legal and operational consistency while supporting WellStats continued growth.Duties and ResponsibilitiesContract Management & Legal Support:Review, draft, and support execution of MSAs, NDAs, licensing agreements, partnership agreements, vendor and procurement contracts.Maintain and manage the full contract lifecycle, including document execution through Adobe Sign or DocuSign.Support offer letters and employment agreements as part of HR legal compliance.Review and help maintain commercial leases and other real estate documents.Provide support on intellectual property and trademark matters, including renewals and basic filings.Document Drafting & Coordination:Draft contract templates, amendments, memoranda, and other legal correspondence.Track legal deadlines and maintain an organized digital filing system.Liaise with external and internal counsel to coordinate legal matters and gather required documentation.Compliance & Legal Operations:Ensure all legal documents align with company standards and regulatory requirements.Support internal teams by answering basic legal questions or flagging issues for counsel review.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal and business documents at all times.QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Completion of a Paralegal or Law Clerk diploma program.Licensed Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario required.Experience:46 years of experience as a Paralegal or Law Clerk, preferably in an in-house legal or corporate environment.Proven experience managing and drafting commercial contracts.Familiarity with HR documentation, leases, and IP/trademark workflows considered an asset.Skills:Excellent attention to detail and legal writing skills.Ability to independently manage and prioritize tasks.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Experience using DocuSign, Adobe Sign, or similar platforms.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Attributes:Professional, approachable, and discreet.Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.Able to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.High degree of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.CompensationSalary Range: $70,000$85,000 Pay in lieu of Benefits: 6% of salary Pension/RRSP Match: up to 4% of salaryAccessibility and AccommodationWe thank all applicants for their interest in WellStat; however, only chosen applicants will be contacted.
