This role is onsite 5 days a week.Your new role As the Senior Accountant / Business Manager, you will be responsible for the sites below:Monitor the variances between actual and budget for revenues and expenses and report to owners monthly. Ensure payroll remittance, GST, Health Tax, Corporate Tax, Worksafe, and other tax-related payments are made on a timely basis.Prepare monthly invoices and ensure timely distribution to clients with support from Administration staff.Develop and maintain consistent accounting policies, practices and procedures. Coordinate with an external accountant to complete year-end financial statements. Responsible for managing payroll either internally or through an external provider and ensuring staff payroll is accurate and timely. Manage cash flow, including A/R, and follow up with the collections.Manage accounts payable dutiesEnsure timely preparation of monthly financial statements and related reports. Work with owners to prepare an annual budget. Financial statement preparation for owners holding companies and related businesses, and supporting principals with various personal financial mattersManage and work with administration staff to ensure smooth daily operations of the firm What you'll need to succeed CPA designation is requiredExperience with Sage 50 is essential; Experience with T4 and corporate taxesExperience managing semi-monthly payroll5+ years experience in a similar senior accounting roleBachelors degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; What you'll get in return Compensation ranges from $90 - $110k depending on experience, extended benefits, bonus, 34 weeks' vacation.What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
