Sussex Strategy Group is looking for an Advocacy Campaign Media Strategist to lead the execution of high impact, targeted digital media campaigns in support of political, advocacy and public affairs objectives The ideal candidate is an analytical and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of digital media, audience targeting, and campaign performance tracking across various platforms. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where policy meets performance marketing, this role is for you!Ways You Can Contribute Own and execute paid digital media for advocacy and public affairs campaigns from ideation through to execution across platforms like Google, Meta, X (Twitter), Reddit, and programmatic ad networks. Create high impact campaigns that target the right audiences with the right message including segmentation, A/B testing, and channel optimization. Analyze and report on campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Business Centre, and others. Work collaboratively with internal teams, including creative, public affairs, and strategic communications, to align advertising strategies with overall campaign objectives.Keep campaigns compliant with platform policies, advertising regulations, and client requirements. Stay current on industry trends and best practices to ensure our campaigns are innovative and cutting edge. Who You Are 5+ years' experience in digital advertising and paid media ideally within an agency or campaign environment. Bachelor's degree in marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field. Deep knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and other major digital advertising platforms.Proven experience building and optimizing campaigns for engagement, influence, and advocacy, not just conversions. A strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and comfort interpreting data to inform campaign decisions. Comfortable managing multiple campaigns (6+) and client deadlines in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. A team player who thrives on collaboration but can also independently own a campaign from start to finish. Proven organization, time management and problem-solving skills.Huge bonus if you have experience with public policy, government relations, or cause-based marketing.
