Position: Legal Administrative Assistant, GovernmentLocation: Downtown Toronto - Hybrid (3-days onsite)Salary: $29 per hourJob Type: TemporaryContract: 2 months to start, potential for extensionWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support a regulatory agency within the Government, located in Downtown Toronto. This role involves managing general inquiries, coordinating communication schedules, and assisting with case management duties.Key Responsibilities:- Respond to emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.- Maintain and manage the rotating schedule of officers handling inquiries.- Route inquiries (emails and phone calls) to the officer on duty.- Log all communications accurately in the organizations case management system.- Set up new files upon receipt of applications or as directed by the legal team.- Circulate final decisions and upload them into the case management system.- Respond to Freedom of Information requests using provided templates.- Perform additional office-related tasks, including file maintenance and administrative coordination.Candidate Qualifications:- At least 2 years of professional administrative experience, ideally within a legal setting (e.g., legal assistant), or a law clerk diploma, law school education, etc.- Experience working with case management systems is an asset.- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to accurately log and track information.- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization.- Quick to learn new tasks and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.- Demonstrated ability to seek guidance from supervisors when necessary.Please send your resume in Word format to Angelica Stewart at VIRTUAL DOORS ARE OPEN!
