Position SummaryReporting to the Transportation Team Leader, the incumbent's main responsibilities are to coordinate project shipments and ensure outstanding customer service to our customers. As part of their work, the Transportation Coordinator must communicate with customers and installers to validate the conditions of delivery and to coordinate everything afterwards. He or she must keep the production sequence up to date so that the shipping department is informed in case of changes (confirmed shipping date, delivery date and time, address, name of carrier, etc.) and contribute to the success of the company by providing excellent service to its internal and external customers. By his position at the end of the production line, he has the ultimate responsibility of ensuring customer satisfaction.Job ResponsibilitiesFollow up on the required dates at the site and communicate any site delays to the sales representative.Select the carrier that will be most likely to carry out the transport of goods at the best cost.Maintain strong client relationships by responding to questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.Ensure coordination between the factory and customers to ensure on-time shipping and delivery.Carry out loading plans.Produce the documents necessary for shipping (delivery note, bill of lading).Rigorously follow up on any shipment, ensure that the instructions issued by the customer are respected and that the goods have been delivered in perfect condition.Maintain the necessary reports.Respond to the estimating team's requests for quotations within the prescribed deadlines.Evaluate the efficiency of transportation companies on a monthly basis and make the necessary recommendations.Make claims in the event of breakages and ensure the processing of non-compliance.Ensure that the prices invoiced are consistent with the bidding price.Education and experience required.
