The Opportunity:We are seeking a full-time, experienced millwork and cabinet Estimator to join our team at our location in Vars, Ontario. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, high-performance setting and is eager to contribute to the teams ongoing success through organization and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesThe Millwork Estimator is a key team member tasked with providing accurate and timely estimates for millwork and cabinetry projects. Youll need to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications while working closely with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues to ensure project success. Specific duties include:Project Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates for millwork projects by reviewing blueprints, drawings, and specifications.Quantity Take-offs: Perform precise take-offs from architectural documents, ensuring alignment across plans, addendums, and quotes.Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals, managing the tender submission process.Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, architects, and subcontractors to determine costs, labor rates, and productivity factors.Cost Negotiation: Secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to optimize budgets.Problem-Solving: Recommend alternative designs or construction solutions to overcome project challenges.Additional Tasks: Assist with other duties as needed to support team goals.QualificationsExperience: At least 2 years in millwork estimating or a related field.Technical Skills: Proficient in reading architectural blueprints and using estimating software; experience with AutoCAD is a plus.Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.Adaptability: Able to prioritize tasks, think creatively, and adjust to new challenges.Work Under Pressure: Capable of performing well under tight deadlines.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Licensing: Valid drivers license required.Security Clearance: Must have (or be able to obtain) a Secret security clearance, if applicable.Canadian working eligibility: must be eligible to work in Canada on a full-time basisCompensation Details:Competitive salary based on experienceBonus PotentialCompetitive benefits
