Our guiding principles shape how we work with our clients, one another, and our partners.Directly reporting to the Director of People and Corporate Services, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations and activities of the Human Resources function at Compass. The Human Resources Manager requires a strong leader with a thorough understanding of a variety of Human Resources functions, their impact on the organization, and how to apply them in a manner consistent with broader organizational strategy and our guiding principles.DUTIES: Responsible for investigating and resolving employee complaints, labour and employee relations issues and workplace accidentsProvides support in collective bargainingLead the implementation of new collective agreementsProvide guidance and assistance to all levels of managementResponsible for recruiting personnel at all levels of the organizationResponsible for developing a talent management strategyResponsible for the salary administration planResponsible for administering the benefits and pension plan for all eligible employeesProvide direction to employees regarding health and safety mattersAct as a resource for supervisors, managers and employeesLead initiatives related to improving the employee experience with strong focus on culture work and equity, diversity and inclusionDevelop and deliver training programs to employeesImplement HR performance metricsPrepare and maintain current job descriptionsEnsure awareness of changes in provincial legislation related to HR mattersManage and lead HR related projectsQUALIFICATIONS:Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
