Through acquisitions and organic growth, E360S provides municipalities and commercial customers with innovative environmental and waste management solutions.Purpose of RoleThe Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for the development, implementation, and promotion of safety strategies, procedures, and systems across the organization. Working closely with managers, the advisor will ensure teams exceed compliance standards and foster a proactive safety culture.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety Management:Develop content for online training using Articulate software.Coordinate and assess the effectiveness of orientation and training activities.Create monthly Safety Talks and provide support to supervisors by attending regularly.Prepare content and lead monthly meetings with Supervisors.Audit safety programs (Emergency Response, Machine Guarding, WHMIS, First Aid, etc.) and lead action plans by evaluating through observations, interviews, surveys, and documentation review.Ensure systems, processes, and procedures are in place for the early identification of hazards and proper communication of changes.Develop and support Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Risk Assessments, providing recommendations for improvements and developing processes/procedures.Review and assist supervisors with incident investigations, identifying root causes, corrective actions, and follow-up.Assist with workers compensation reports and return-to-work processes (including modified duties documentation, meetings with employees, and case follow-ups).Provide administrative support to Joint Health and Safety Committees and assist with other related tasks.Create content and update communication boards regarding safety topics.Stay current with legislation changes and ensure organizational compliance with technical standards, policies, and procedures.Advise on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Organize and act on air/noise assessments and medical surveillance as required.Perform ergonomic assessments and recommend suitable tools/equipment.Encourage consistency across sites in equipment use and processes.Collaborate with other departments to ensure that health and safety are integrated into all policies and procedures.Field Service & Project Support:Build relationships with customers to understand tasks, hazards, and controls related to service contracts.Meet with Customer Health and Safety or Supervisor and attend morning line-ups.In conjunction with the Field supervisor/superintendent, review project scopes of work and conduct pre-start Job Hazard analyses and safety requirement assessments.Manage Site-Specific Orientation Administration.Attend customer 'contractor meetings' on a quarterly basis.Maintain up-to-date documentation for regulatory inspections and internal audits.Qualifications & SkillsHealth and Safety or Workplace Safety Prevention-related certificate, diploma, degree, or equivalent required.Minimum of 5 years working in a similar environment (e.g., manufacturing, heavy-duty mechanic repair, mining).Valid Drivers License required.Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening required.Experience in accident investigation and safety audits is preferred.Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.Weekend work required when neededStrong supervisory and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and work with minimal supervision.Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills.Creative and innovative approach to problem-solving.Knowledge of the Ontario Health & Safety Act and supporting the company's safety culture is preferred.This role offers an opportunity to play a key part in maintaining and advancing safety standards while working across diverse environments and collaborating with teams internationally.How To ApplyDue to the high volume of resumes we will only be contacting candidates that best meet the needs of the business.
